90 day report and form TM47

Featured Replies

As holder of a retirement extension I have to make my first 90 day report to immigration next Monday, April 21.

I have studied the immigration website, which provides details of all required enclosures for reporting by mail, but I can see no mention anywhere of what I must take when reporting in person. Since the main immigration office continues to be closed I am not going risk reporting by mail. Can someone please list what I will need to take with me (other than my passport, of course)? It is going to be a long trip and I don't want to have to make it twice!

Obviously I will need to complete a form TM47, and would like to to do this before going. I tried to use the link on the immigration website to download the PDF version of this form, but get only a 404 error. The MSWord version is downloadable, but seems to be corrupt. It appears garbled when opened with either LibreOffice or Abiword. Both of these applications can usually open MS Word documents without problems, but not this one, for some reason. Is there some other source for this document? Or perhaps some kind person could send it as an attachment...

For download, did you try ThaiVisa? http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/files/file/17-tm47-form-for-alien-to-notify-of-staying-longer-than-90-days/

It is still a Word Document, though. I doubt if the file is corrupted... I would think it is because you are trying to open it with a non-Microsoft product. I believe it is a fillable document and those programs may not be able to handle that.

I only have Acrobat Reader. It could be that the PDF version of the document is also fillable and may require the Acrobat program. Just guessing.

You must of been using the .bangkok.immigration website their PDF link does not work.

In person you only need the TM47 form and your passport.

You can do the report 15 days before or 7 days after it is due. For doing it by mail to Bangkok immigration you have to mail it 15 days early.

Might the OP also be advised to take along some proof of address since it's their first 90-day report?

I just got the pdf from the main Immigration web site. I made a right click on the pdf icon for the TM47, then Save Target As (IE). It saved the form to my computer.

OK, thanks to all who replied. I have printed the TM47 form and will fill it out. I have made copies of all entry stamp and visa pages in my passport, and the departure card, plus a copy of the lease for my apartment showing the address. I will take some photographs with me too. Is there anything else I might need? It is my experience that it is always the one thing I did not bring which they insist I must produce!

It looks like the number 20 bus goes right past the Suksawat office, and also can be boarded not far from the Wongwianyai BTS station. Has anyone managed to go there by bus?

I have a question about reporting by Registered mail. I have looked at several sites and get different addresses where to send too. I hope someone has the current correct address and can share it with me. Is not always easy for me to get to the Immigration office so would be great to be able to send it. Please help. I do know all the paper work I need to send. Just need the right address.

Thanks for your help
