June 11, 200619 yr Are there any bars/restaurants showing the NBA Playoffs? Anywhere in Phuket would be fine... Also, where can I find a schedule? Thanks in advance.
June 11, 200619 yr Sorry prob be hard pressed....best bet find a yank expat bar or settle for footie.
June 11, 200619 yr Author ... settle for footie. Cheers Brimaveric, I like footie, but come on a zero to zero score is rather boring. I'd rather have to perform foreplay with a white woman than watch a 0 to 0 score... yawn. Put a dozen soccer balls on the field and make it exciting. I do like Aussie rules and rugby (league and union), so I ain't one of them 'Yank sports only' types.
June 11, 200619 yr Hmmm you think footie is more boring than yank net ball? Turn on the netball with 5min til finish and you won't miss the best bit.
June 12, 200619 yr What you can do is go into any bar showing the World Cup and ask them to change the channel. I plan to do this with the Baseball game of the week. If I bought a round, do you think this would work? I hate soccer
June 12, 200619 yr Author The basketball NBA playoffs are aired on ESPN, and Star Sports.Barry Cheers Barry, Is there more than one Star Sport? I have Star, but haven't seen B'ball.

Not all games are won or lost at the buzzer. In fact, the majority are not won that late in the game. I think this falls into the category of "if you've never played the game, you think it's boring". I've never played soccer, so I don't want to watch a ball being kicked back and forth. I love watching soccer highlights though. I'm amazed at the goals, but I don't want to wait an hour to see one. I only got interested in rugby when I played it. Well, that and spending some time in Suva watching the Fijians play. Man, they are impressive. I've never seen a professional level rugby game... only the Phuket Viagrabonds. ... far from professional, but fun to watch a bunch of alkies huffin' and puffin'.
