beach boys = thugs..

I was on Kata beach recently where I witnessed a foreign lady refusing to pay for a beach bed, she refused to move when the so called beach boy thug tried to move her, he was slapped by this foreign lady thug hard on the back as he walked away, the beach boy so called thug did not retaliate, I would suggest it's the attitude of holiday makers that are to blame for many so called beach boy thug attacks!! personally I wish the beach boy had given her a smack in the face, she was rude, aggressive and arrogant!!

Had he hit her I would have backed him up 100% with the police against any complaint!!

My wife, with a baby, had to pay to park at 830am along the beach.......

How much did she have to pay and to whom?

I think 50 or 100, to one of the morons renting bikes, just to keep an eye on things for her!

Okay that's not ideal but at least I assume the car was okay? even though the parking is supposed to have been sorted out it's obvious to anyone that there will be many disgruntled people who are not happy, if I had a car and wanted to park along the beach road(although I wouldn't park there knowing there would be unhappy people about, I would probably ask first if it's okay to park there and offer a small amount in order for the car to stay safe!

Yes I agree but principle means nothing here, we live in Thailand and we have to live alongside what goes on to the best of our ability, we might not like it but there is nothing we can do about it, we are not allowed to protest and if you try you will face deportation, I live here and have done so for quite a few years, I have never had a problem mainly because I distance myself from things like jet skis etc I am polite to everyone even if I don't like it, I choose to live here and I choose to accept everything that goes along with that!! my life here is sooooo much better than the UK!

Patong is now so crowded no one goes there anymore.

This is great comedy ;-)

Is that your sole contribution? as long as it amuses you all is fine and dandy!

i have lived here long time as well an often park on the beach road if there is a space and i want stop ( usually don't want to) This is the FIRST time the air was let out of my tire.

No one approached me an said, "cant park" and there were actually 3 spaces ( as i was changing my tire a nice BMW pulled in and parked)

The beach is not full but there are plenty of cars and motorbikes for rent biggrin.png

Ps the boy at the tire shop was real nice an asked for nothing to take off the spare, check the flat tire and change for me, ( i gave him 40 baht anyway)

It could have been worse they could have slashed your tires! are you certain someone let the tire down?

I don't think the time (or who she is with) matters if it is legal. I know this has been happening for quite some time and in some areas in Patong this is allowed. How about the location where your wife parked?

well it was fine when i left my house in kamala and drove to my friend's house above coral beach and fine when i drove down into patong and parked .

More than likely let down, to me if they were trying to scare you from parking there again they would have slashed a tire or tires, if indeed it was let down you know not to park there again, yes it's wrong but what can you do?

I do take your point, although this is a well beaten drum. This forum is our right to protest, the Singaporean owners allow us vent on their domain. So here we are.

BTW - I was sent here, didnt choose to come. Yes I could have quit, but I have a family and responsibilities

Still haven't mastered the quote function, I see.

That's one of the problems of the TV app. I quit using it and am back to the standard version on my tablet now, the app is simply crap IMO.
