BANGKOK: -- When our grannies created fantasies in our little girl heads that one day we'd win pageants and be handed ridiculously large checks on stage, they might have forgotten one detail.

In the real world, the check might never arrive.

The six winners of the “Miss Thai Lovely” pageant, who were handed such checks earlier this year, said they never got the money and filed a complaint yesterday at Lumpini police station.

This looks like it was set up a a hotel pool and the organizer just had the girls parade out by the pool while all the hotel guests just went about their business. In the background I could see kids running around, guys with their "dates" and a mix of tourists just kind of hanging around.

There must be more to it than just the pool-side video, with it's lingering crotch and boob shots. The other pic with the girls in evening gowns was shot somewhere else. Looks like a total of 1.7 mil baht in prizes ! Not back for a couple hours work I'd say, though they say they've only been paid 20,000 (each) so far.

After looking at the video I'm wondering if there's some 'ex-men' amongst the contestants. Definitely some large jaws and fake tits, most look like they've had some work done. Call me old fashioned but I prefer natural boobs and a beautiful face which hasn't had surgery, rather than these 'plastic fantastics'.

Good on the sponsors, I'd refuse to pay on the basis of false advertising

Maybe they didn't read the small print.... winning only gave them a chance to compete for the Grand Prize.... drawing to be held at later date.... fake check in hand not worth more than a fake Thai smile.
