Why is this guy wandering around pattaya with US$ 60k in a bag...He can't get any bank to open an account because of FACTA? I know Thais deal in large cash transactions but very unusual for a foreigner.

Popular Post Wiceman
What a cheapskate. Found money reward should be a minimum of 5%. Even if this guy cut it down to 2.5% it wouldn't be that bad. And the police should investigate why he was carrying all that money around even Thai property deals these days take bank cashier cheques. 10,000 Baht is just a slap in the face. I hope some of this guys buddies take him aside and talk some sense into him. He is doing a disservice to all who may lose money in the future.

Popular Post Wiceman
Thanks. Kooweerup I was a little over the top and apologize. I don't like police/tax interference as much as anybody. Was just taken aback at the story. I just think that whenever you lose something you should imagine what it really means to you and how grateful you will be to whoever can bring it back. I have lost money many times and unfortunately never recovered it. In the west we are so used to giving 15-20% of a restaurant bill as a tip for good service. Especially in the USA where this guy comes from. Was this not exceptional service ? Edited May 26, 2014 by Wiceman
unanimosity
Is it possible that, with a whistle lanyard around his neck and a yellow shirt on, he might be a TV poster that was looking for Suthep to donate $60K?
