My wife and I were married in Chiang Mai, but are now located down south. She changed her first name (for religious/superstitious) reasons a few months ago, and now we need to have the new name on the marriage certificate for a residency visa in another country.

Do we really need to go back to Chiang Mai to get this done, or can it be done in our new province, online, or via post?
