Hi all,

Can anybody help a friend of mine out please? He will be visiting Thailand at the end of this month and wants to upload & burn his photographs to CD. I couldn’t help him out as my digital camera had a large storage capacity and I never ran into this problem. Do you know the exact address or approximate location of any internet cafes that will let him 100% do this?

No matter where you are in Thailand if you’re local internet cafe provides this service it might be an idea to get a list together for others to see.

Thanks very much.

The life cycle of most internet cafes seems to be less than the seasons. If he can't find an internet cafe to do it believe any photo shop could. Should not be a problem. But like you I always carry enough storage media so have not had to do.

lopburi3, "But like you I always carry enough storage media"

That's exactly what I said to him buy a bigger storage card or better still borrow mine. He's not exactly careful with things and is worried that I would pummel him to death if he broke it!

:o Wot me? :D

The thing is that he's not sure where he will be when he need to burn these photos to CD, hence the "No matter where you are in Thailand" bit.

Thanks

Any of these digital print shops will let him do it, all over Silom, Sukhumvit etc . . I used to have the same problem and went to Net Cafe's to burn them to CDs. In the 2nd floor of the Times Square building near Asok Station - across from the Westin near Sukhumvit 12 - there are 2 Internet Cafes that will let U do this. Depends on how many times he will take this route but all the money he spends on renting computers, buyin CD's and paying for the service to burn the pics - he might as well go to Pantip and shell out a little more 4 some memory.

Ok guys thanks for your replies, looks like he won't have much of a problem, I'll pass on the information. My storage device is still on offer to him if he wants it.

JJDinsay, he's being rather tight with his money :o at the moment as he has never been to Thailand, a visit to Pantip before he leaves Bangkok should sort him out. You're location information has been noted, thanks.
