Wind Guru is predicting wind gusts up to 35 knots next week from the West/S.West.

Guess that means we will have a lot of electricity outages.

It is rather unusual this time of year. We have had very strong winds up on the mountain ( eased Off now ) for over 4 weeks.

I have added screen capture for you Gatorade.

Hmm so should i repack my suitcase tomorrow before leaving europe?

Candles, batteries, flashlight, a kite and maybe a helmet for falling coconuts would be more suited for this summers weather on Samui.

Thanks Room, bit too technical for me.

First time I saw a Wind Guru chart I thought the same thing.

Then I sat down and read through it.

It's straightforward enough when you study it.

Yeah I prefer the sites that are easier to just glance and see.... I am past the studying stage too! facepalm.giftongue.png

Jimmy - you do not have to study it. Just look at colours..

Blues:- light blue - wet. Medium blue - very wet. Dark blue - get a kayak and forget the bike.

Reds:- orange - a bit blowy. Red - very windy. Purple/mauve - hold onto your Barnet. (Barnet fair - hair.)

(Ignore the line that is all reds - that is temp. You are looking at the lines that are blue/green/orange/red/purple. Blue/green - breeze.)

Any reds - do not get onto a long-tail. Red starts at winds of 28 mph.

Looking at Wind guru today - nothing to worry about until Monday - BUT.......

Wind guru is very good for the next day or two. Further out, and the weather can either blow out or accelerate. You have to watch Wind guru every day. It does not automatically update. Keep refreshing it and it is bluddy good.
