PATTAYA: -- Pattaya Police announced the results of a 24 hour crime suppression operation with cases featuring 60 Slot Machines, a Gun and two bars allegedly conducting Sexually Explicit Shows.

Police Major General Sanit, the Acting Commissioner of Region 2 Police led a press conference at Pattaya Police Station on Wednesday Morning and began by announcing the seizure of the 60 illegal slot machines which were found at a disused commercial building in Central Pattaya, close to Soi Buakhao.

8 men were arrested in connection with the case and are believed to have been in the process of moving the machines into a number of venues across Pattaya when they were intercepted by Police.

It was noted that one of the men was the Son of a senior Police Officer who holds the rank of Major General and the other was the cousin of a senior officer of the Thai Army.

two bars allegedly conducting Sexually Explicit Shows.

Did they not make it to the third bar? Shows must have been excellent.

It shows that police and army considered themselves always as above the law.

Finally we are seeing that no one is safe from prosecution, where will it stop.

lol - The Windmill Club (soi Diamond). I'm sure a few TV members know where that is (directly across from that Swiss restaurant). I wouldn't doubt that the owner/manager are probably TV members as well. Oddly enough, I've eaten at the Swiss restaurant many times but never have gone into the Windmill. I didn't think it was any different from the 70(+) other go-gos on Walking Street so I'm not sure why it was raided, unless it just happened to be "next" on the list.

The Windmill is like very few other Walking Street bars. Audience participation is encouraged.

Very odd language.

Conjecture at best. The arrested persons were relatives and not active members of the Army or Police.

"two bars allegedly conducting Sexually Explicit Shows."

Surely not! Pattaya has cleaned up its image, I read...

Hope you didn't eat any banana's at the restaurant, a Windmill specialty.

Some protection, they did not get their names in the English language press.

Lets wait and see if the arrested " connections" actually make it to the court.

They probably forgot to put the 3,000 Bht in the little red box this week.

i hope the slut machines did not commit too many crimes

It is wonderful what you can do and get with a 20 Baht note in some clubs.

Not that I have personal experience of this you understand.
