Hi guys

I'm going to be studying in Australia as of November and to apply for the the student visa I have to have a medical done.

Does anyone know if there is a hospital I'm Phuket that has done this type of test or anyone who has gone through this process before?

Humm ... maybe this will help.

We've recently done the Partner Visa ... they only request a Medical after you have lodged the Visa application.

A little smart Googling finds that it's the same for you.

Health and Character Requirements Medical and x-ray examination results for yourself and each family member planning to
accompany you to Australia.
The department uses an online health system known as eHealth to record your health examination results and conduct your health assessment.
The “E Health” program requires that medical examinations be conducted only aftera visa application has been validly lodged
with the Embassy.
Once the application is lodged, the case officer will provide you with a “Health Assessment” letter (by email, mail or fax).
The Panel Doctor will need to see this letter as part of the medical examination process and you should take the letter with you when you go to the Panel Doctor for your examination.
Medical examinations must be undertaken by a doctor from a list of approved doctors provided bythe Visa and Immigration Office, Australian Embassy Bangkok.

^^ Each Visa application is a stand alone application.

People's circumstances do change.

So, I suppose that you do need to do it (but I'm no expert on this)

For my gf's Partner Visa, the Medical cost was Bt 3,000

BNH was 3,700... when we called they quoted upto 4,500.

Oz

Our experience was the same ... the quote was higher then the final Bill.
