I took some pictures from the Wangyen Railway station today where all the track for the upgrade to the track west from Wangyen through Sai yok is being stored, from what I could see there were 6 piles of track and a loader being built to load the track for laying, looks like it will be a smooth ride soon.

Yes the train journey from Thonburi (BKK) to kanchanaburi has always been a " rough ride " (kind respect where due ladies..)

I live only 300 meters from Wang Yen station and this project started BEFORE the new SRT leader was appointed.

The track upgrade continues and now as far as Ban Kao, where they have delivered sleepers for futher works.

Is the line disrupted whilst being improved?

Am hoping to travel from Thonburi (BKK) to River Kwai, during the next month or so.
