Koh Mudsum resort

The new resort at the southern end of Koh Mudsum seems to be up and running. Would seem like an ideal

"Getaway" place and I just wondered if any of you folks on the forum have been there. I guess that as everything has to be shipped in on "long tail" boats the prices might be quite high. Any info?

Didn't a Swiss guy start to build a resort there and lost a shed load of money when the Government came along and told him to simply get off the island as it was government property as it was part of the marine park ? he spent a lot of cash getting the buildings up and then he was gone. I would be surprised to see another go at it. Any link to it ?

I have been there a few times and is OK for a few hours but would you really want to be stuck there for days ?

getaway place for sure for most normals. But personally would not qualify that totally as a getaway place, because big Samui is just a short boat ride away.

Pleasant place, not cheap. Has a Thai owner this go round, has not had any problems (publicly) with officialdom. Everything goes there by boat, of course, including staff and water. A mix of wooden structures ('villas') and fancy fabric sided structures on wooden platforms.
