Maps of Thai Provinces and Amphoe

Featured Replies

Used to be able to buy these in the Suriwong Book store in CM. Now all they have is some dusty ones of Phitsanulok!

Where in BKK can one buy proper maps of Thai Provinces..not Touristy ones?! Is there a Thai equivalent of the HMSO shop? Where is it?

Bought mine from a book store in Big 'C' and another road map one from a Ptt garage.

Is there anything resembling OS* 1:50k or 1:25k maps here? I'd walk/exercise a lot further if I had a clue where I was going:)

(*Ordinance Survey)

I've seen the old U.S. Army Map Service 1:50,000 maps at C. Mai airport, CRS which shop, tho, a book store.

Alternatively, they're also available at the RT Survey Department in Bangkok.

A bit out of date, tho, 1960s & '70s, but the mountains don't change that much, just the roads and villages.

When I got hold of some RTSD maps in 2009 the data was only 3 years old, so depends on area I guess. Certainly best maps of Thailand.

These come direct from RTSD as far as I know. I didn't go in myself to get them, but we had a contractor do it for us. Certainly best maps I have come across.
