July 31, 201411 yr Would like to drain fuel out of this since bike hasn't been started for several years and would like to put new in before starting. Is there a fuel drain plug ? Anyone have a pic of where it is ? If not, I'll be pushing it to the local bike shop... Never did find an english owners manual... Thanks !
July 31, 201411 yr If bike hasnt started for several years, you can start to push it to the local bike shop but this is a honda wave so maybe it works. Good luck. Sent from my GT-N7100 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
July 31, 201411 yr I think you will have problems with blocked jets (carb) or injectors. On carb models the fuel can be drained from carb float chamber and tank ( inj , tank only). Then fresh fuel , and battery ? , and run some fuel system cleaner through it. Is it a new purchase.
August 1, 201411 yr IF ITS YEARS AS YOU SAY ITS THE CARB MODEL. LOOK AT THE CARB FOR A RUBBER TUBE COMING DOWN FROM ABOVE AND PULL IT OFF, HAVE A CONTAINED TO CATCH THE OLD FUEL. TAKE OFF THE CARB, UNDERNEATH THERE WILL BE 4 PHILLIPS SCREWS REMOVE THESE AND YOU WILL SEE YOUR FLOAT'S REMOVE THESE. YOU WILL THEN SEE YOUR JETS 2 OF DIFFERENT SIZES WITH BOLT SHAPES. REMOVE THESE AND GO AT EVERYTHING WITH AN OLD TOOTH BRUSH AND SOME CARB CLEANER, OR NEW BENZINE (NOT AS AFFECTIVE). THE JET WILL HAVE TINY HOLES INSIDE THEM AND HAVE TO BE CLEANED 100%. THEN PUT IT ALL BACK TOGETHER.FILL YOU TANK AND AWAY SHE SHOULD GO. AS MENTIONED IS A PREVIOUS POST, NEW BATTERY... AND CHANGE THE ENGINE OIL OR YOU COULD JUST GIVE IT TO SOMCHAI WITH NEW BATTERY AND OIL AND PAY 500 BAHT. I RECOMMEND THE LATTER GOOD LUCK CHARLIE
August 4, 201411 yr Author Thanks for the guidance. I rolled it down the hill to Somchai who did all the necessary. Back on 2 wheels again.
