HUA HIN:-- Assistantant Professor Dr. Pawinee Lamtrakul and staff from the Faculty of Architecture and Planning at Thammasat University have launched a project to initiate and publicise ‘Routes of Happiness’ in Hua Hin. Asst. Prof. Dr. Pawinee told Hua Hin Today that the project was financed by the Thai Health Promotion Foundation of the Ministry of Public Health.

The project includes the installation of signs pointing out important places and tourist attractions throughout the city. ‘Routes of Happiness’ will come under three categories.

1. ‘Shopping & Relaxing in the Hua Hin Style’ – starts at the Hua Hin Railway Station, to Phon Kingphet Memorial Park and ends at the Night Market.

2. ‘Enjoying the Beach’ – starts at the Hua Hin Buddhist Temple, to the fishing pier and then back to the Chinese Shrine before going to the beach

3. ‘Chilling Out Without Worry’ – encourages tourists to ride a bicycle to the museum at the Naresuan Military Base in front of the Klai Kangwon Royal Residence before travelling on Nap Khehat Road to admire beautiful old buildings.

The project’s survey and information gathering has been completed and the project team is consulting with public officials to complete tailoring the three routes, added Dr. Pawinee. When completed the information will be publicised with pamphlets and internet information for visitors to Hua Hin.

"The Thammasat University launched this project because we would like to promote tourism in Hua Hin and provide tourists with some useful information they need to know.
