???????????

The new minivan service to Pattaya operates from the new theater/shopping comples at Exit 1 from the Victory Monument BTS station. They are sitting on the steps as you go into the shopping center and the vans are parked near there. Not sure of the cost, but believe they run every 30 minutes or every hour...

Yes, they are outside the doors of Century the Movie Plaza (i think its exit 2, but Century is on the sign as you come down the BTS steps anyway). the sign says they drop you outside a bank on Pattaya Tai (south pattaya). Dont know how much either, havent used them yet, (i reckon less than 200Baht), i'm on there today, so I will get the name of the bank and ask them how much.

A few years ago I used to regularly take the mini bus service from Bang Saen to Victory Monumnet, as there weren't any decent non stop proper bus services.

I would never use them again. All the drivers work incredible hours and drive like maniacs. They are the most dangerous form of transport going I reckon. I know the proper bus drivers also tend to drive fast, but they are 1000% better than the mini bus drivers who are more or less totally unregulated.

There have been some horrendous crashes involving mini buses with farangs on board. The drivers frequently fall asleep. A while back, a whole German family was wiped out.

There are two, good, all day, air con , non stop bus services to Bangok - one to Ekami. and one to Morchit - both have coonections to the BTS. Why use mini bus death traps??

I would still go either to Morchit or Ekamai to take the regular buses BKK-Pattaya.

No reason to try these MiniVan's,most of them are old .

The regular buses are about 113 Baht and drop you at Pattaya Nua, where there are Baht buses to take you down town, or wherever.

The buses also have toilets, very useful if you have been inbibing in BKK and get stuck in traffic. Not much you can about it on those mini buses. :o
