UK Marriage Visa

Featured Replies

The UK visa website makes it quite clear that if someone wants to marry in the UK and then return to Thailand, they should apply for a Marriage Visitor Visa:

https://www.gov.uk/marriage-visa

So, I created an account for my GF's application on the Visa4UK site, but this visa is not included in the list of visa types. Should I just apply for a General Visitor Visa?

From the drop down menu, firstly select "visit. Then, "special visitor". Then, "(special),marriage/civil partnership

Rather than start another thread, I'll post this here and hopefully someone will know!

Because I knew I would be doing the visa application for my GF, I registered in her name (not mine) although obviously I used my address and email. I hadn'trealsied that after registration I would have the option to "apply on behalf of someone else".

Can I amend the registration details (name and DOB) or should I abandon this application (all I've done is enter her name, passport number, DOB) and register again?
