Unfortunately what may happen then is the Muslims may demand that the alternative meat is halal prepared, as is already happening in some places. Where I live in the south of Thailand, a few very influential Muslims, demanded that in the food courts, Tesco and big C, must provide separate food preparation and cooking areas for Muslim food in order not to contaminate the Muslim food, fair enough I thought, then they demanded separated eating areas, followed by a demand for the eating utensils be of a different design and for them not to be mixed. Now I hear they are trying to impose halal foods onto the restaurants. I must stress that this is not the demand of most Muslim, just a few of their religious leaders. At the moment only 5% of the British population is Muslim, what do you think their demands may be when they obtain 20% of the population in a few years time?.
