"The Damned United". Martin Sheen as Cloughie - about the 44 days he and Taylor spent at Leeds United. One of the few football films to be given 4 tomatoes on Rotten Tomatoes* (largely because Sheen as absolutely excellent in almost everything he touches (like when he played Blair in the Diana death film)

*Gregory's Girl did get 4.5 mind!

the book is amazing. the film wasn't. even with sheen and spall and broadbent. it was alright. but the book is incredible, so tough gig.

and any football fan on here should have read at least three david peace books, including the damned united.

not quite the true facts.it was ronnie radford who equalized to level the score at 1-all.

it was ricky george who scored the goal in extra time 103rd minute which was to become the greatest shock in fa.cup history.yep that center forward with the big sideburns was the newcastle player who said he would score 10.
