Land problems in the Northeast will be solved

The Public Poverty Eradication Administration is pushing forward in solving land issues in the 19 northeastern provinces.

Ms. Somsuk Boonyabancha, the Director of the Community Organizations Development Institute and the Public Poverty Eradication Administration’s Secretary, said the land problems in the Northeast will be worked out more concretely. A workshop on this matter will be held on July 23rd and 24th at Rimpao Hotel in Muang District of Kalasin Province.

The workshop will provide relevant knowledge and information to the public sector and related agencies in all levels. It is aimed at solving poverty and social problems, which is under the government policy.

Ms. Somsuk stated that within the next two years, land issues will be dealt with for 55,000 households in 200 districts nationwide. Out of these, 77 tambons in 55 districts of 19 provinces are in the Northeast.
