howdyy!!

does anyone have any idea, how much need to

pay tax (or hopefully not at all )

if i send my 20 yrs old

honda vf 1000 from europe, (finland)?

by the way, i am selling kawasaki boss 175 , 2004 year,

about 25000 kms, just changed oil and filter in kawasaki-service, naklua.

if interested about kawa, call 01 770 47 30, tim. (in pattaya)

Forget it, to expensive up to the customs that day it turn up here, it could be anything from 50% to 130% maybe more, buy one here.

Forget it, to expensive up to the customs that day it turn up here, it could be anything from 50% to 130% maybe more, buy one here.

Cheapest way is to send it in bits as spare parts.

But then you have the problem of registering it.

All in All easier / just as cheap to buy one already registered here.

If it is your 20 year old friend VS a 20 year old bike you bought not long time ago the case might not be the same.

It also depends on your visa status. As a tourist forget it.

My neighbour in Phuket, a german guy imported his 30 year old bike from Germany not long time ago. He had owned the bike for I think 15 years. I dont remember all the details but I do remember one specific thing. He saying something about drilling a big whole in the box so they could see it was parts to this old bike.

He proved his case about long time ownership and said there werent too many problems. He did not pay any big tax on it. I dont know if he registered it.

Cargo is also cheaper from Europe to Asia than the other way. I would check things up before doing this

I would go for checking out bying a bigbike here. Big bikes are fairly priced in Thailand.

yeah i have really thought about sending that bike, even these roads are not so good as in europe..hmm :o

..yes, i m going to visit finland next month , so maybe know smth more after that, also need to contact someone in customs in bkk....not really know.

my friend in finland imported old honda vf 1100 custom from states, cargo was about 300usd.

so, in that price cannot get a bike in thailand...or depends what wants heh :D
