Qatar have lost the 2022 World Cup...BREAKING

Do you work for a tabloid Franky?

"have lost" in your title

"looks like" in your op

Then when you read MJCM reuters article

"I personally think that in the end the 2022 World Cup will not take place in Qatar," the German told Sport Bild on Monday.

FIFA officials, contacted by Reuters, said Zwanziger was not giving the view of the all powerful Executive Committee.

"He is expressing a personal opinion and he explicitly says so," FIFA spokewoman Delia Fischer said. "We will not comment on a personal opinion."

A bit pedantic but facts always help.

I can't understand why anyone would want to go there anyway.

Booze is ridiculously expensive and only available in certain places.

For most fans visiting it would be a miserable experience.

Dubai would have been a better choice if they really wanted it in the Middle East.

They will lose it. Can take that to the bank

Only if Platini stand up and threatens to pull UEFA out of it, that's where all the money is.

The only reason why they got it in the first place got taken to a bank.

All the reasons why it is now not likely to happen were very apparent before it was awarded. It was never going to be possible.

if it is taken from them I wonder if Qataris will risk exposing themselves by naming names who took bribes

Yeah agree it's a shithole. The whole ME is including Dubai. Dubai reminds me of that old woman trying to look 22....an old tart and fails miserably. I don't mind it for a week or two if i'm on course. I'm always happy to leave it though

I'm sitting in Dubai bar right now, definitely a better option than Doha, but anywhere in the ME in summer is just not viable. They should have it in Riyadh, it's <deleted> lovely in Summer

Fifa's ethics chief Hans-Joachim Eckert said a decision on the findings of Garcia's report (FIFA's own investigation into bid corruption by a US lawyer) would not be likely until next spring.

He also told BBC Sport the information contained in the report would "never" be made public.

Can this guy even spell ethics?

[Damian Collins, Conservative MP, has asked the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) to request a copy of the report into the bidding processes for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups].

Nope - sorry folks Qatar have not been canned - they have been exonerated. The summary of the report, prepared by a German judge (Ekhart?) who heads up the FIFA Ethics Committee, summarising the report of and two year investigation by, a US lawyer called Garcia (employed to investigate by FIFA of course so nothing wrong to see there), concludes that everything in the rose garden is fine for FIFA. Qatar did not cheat and indeed it is those dirty cheating Brits who broke all the rules.

But wait - Sky breaking news 10 minutes ago. Garcia says that Eckahrt has materially misrepresented his findings. My gosh - are we going to find that Blatter's mob has hired a lawyer who has some ethical content behind him? What a balls up Sepp.

You couldn't make this $hit up unless you had been involved in the Koh Tao investigation

GENEVA - (AP) -- FIFA prosecutor Michael Garcia will appeal ethics judge Joachim Eckert's decision to close the investigation into how Russia and Qatar won World Cup hosting rights.

The former U.S. Attorney says Eckert's report released by FIFA "contains numerous materially incomplete and erroneous representations of the facts and conclusions detailed" in his own report.

Garcia says "I intend to appeal this decision to the FIFA Appeal Committee."

Garcia issued a statement Thursday shortly after Eckert released his 42-page summary of the investigation into the 2018 and 2022 World Cup bidding contests.

Eckert ruled that any wrongdoing found in Garcia's investigation did not affect the integrity of the December 2010 votes by FIFA's executive committee.

Don't mess about man. LEAK IT!

Musings form a fine restaurant somewhere in Geneva

Sepp: Just sign this statement Eckert old friend

Eckert: But it says I am resigning due to my administration errors

Sepp: That's correct

Eckert: But I only did the job you employed me to do

Sepp: No, I employed you to take the $hit if it all fell apart, so do your job and sign here old son!

"Numerous erroneous misrepresentations". Come on Dykey, but the boot in - time for the Brits to pull out of international competition until Blatter withdraws form FIFA.

Ohh luvvies - I do love a dramatongue.png

FIFA how found that FIFA are not guilty of corruption, that is a surprise

We gave the game to the world, but the biggest mistake was give the power as well.

yeah because the english FA is a shining example of how to run a football administration.

it's sort of nice that FIFA is still, after everything, capable of surprising you with their levels of c*ntishness.

International football is crap anyway, never really watch it and hardy watch a game of the last world cup.

International break just a interruption to the premier league.

Couldn't agree more. There are six Arsenal players in the England squad, just another opportunity to pick up some more pointless injuries we don't need.

What idiot organised a friendly AFTER a competitive match I have no idea.

Probably was meant to buy us a couple of votes somewhere along some line.

The pathetically weak response from the FA to the Garcia-Eckert affair makes me wonder if there is not more brown stuff around about the England bid that has not yet surfaced.
