WorriedNoodle Posted October 12, 2014 Posted October 12, 2014 Can anyone suggest a quick way to save a track listing of a BBC radio music program to a device (PC or Android) for later review when listening to the music program (that I might usually grab with get-iplayer). Previously I was able to save PDF file of the programs contents by simply printing the BBC web site page of the particular program to PDF from print menu of web browser (FF) etc. Now I notice the BBC web pages will not print out as displayed in browser - not sure if this is deliberate or what?
astral Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Not sure about capturing the base data from the BBC but FireShot, a FF addon allows you to capture the web page that is on your screen Alternatively there is the Print Screen key on your keyboard then you can paste into any suitable image editor

I think I will go with this for time being.

I have tried FF, Chrome and IE11 on iPlayer page and only IE11 gets close to printing the page as seen on the web browser for me. Even then there are lots of images missing. With FF and Chrome besides images missing, there are now whole pages of information chopped out, so pretty useless from this point of view at least. I'm using latest latest versions of web browsers and Adobe and Cute PDF writers. I only have this issue on iPlayer web site so far, other web sites print OK.

I wonder why this seemingly essential part of a Web browser doesn't come as standard? Fire shot still is not free for some of the most basic requirements like printing out a PDF on standard A4 sheets for example. Why the heck cannot a browser do that already?
