JacknDanny Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Lighten up Jack! Should the manager be sacked? is the question....you did draw after all! As Mancini rightly stated. Their first goal was a basket ball match. And NO, we won't lighten up. This is serious sh1t man. It's football. You sound like my wife, she tries to say it's not serious too I won't be lighting up either soon mate...I'm halfway through that book. Mind Jack wants us to lighten up don't Jack pal? Sack the manager?? Well??? I have always been consistent from way back about my views of our Italian 'lady boy' Mancini I like him, I like what he does, and long may he continue. If it came a choice right now, as to who I would choose... Mancini or Mourinho... I would choose Mancini. So sack him for getting a draw at Stoke? ...... No Now if it was only a draw at for example Reading... then maybe
smokie36 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 You are thinking the impossible there Jack. 3-0 win today!

smokie36 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Win is a win....not that you lot managed that this weekend.
mrbojangles Posted September 16, 2012 Author Posted September 16, 2012 I was talking about the prediction comp. that Reading goal cost you 6 points but gained theblether maximum.
smokie36 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 Nooooooooo! Yes.......I'm very clever Lucky more like. That won't last though.
smokie36 Posted September 16, 2012 Posted September 16, 2012 So Jack we are back to discussing sacking managers who have drawn their last game. Mincer out I believe on that basis isn't it? Come on....consistency is what we expect from you here.

Come on....consistency is what we expect from you here. The whole "AVB has three more games" talk is all a load of rubbish drummed up by the press. It never had any foundation whatsoever. He was a longterm appointment, we haven't player that badly and thats the sum of it. Why are they so enamoured with a chipy cockney with a face like a ballbag?
mrbojangles Posted September 17, 2012 Author Posted September 17, 2012 Albeit he isn't firing on all cylinders at the moment, happy that Silva has signed a new five year deal. Interestingly, it's reported that he is on 120k per week but incentives and performances can raise it to 200k. Don't know of any players who are on that sort of contract at the moment.

mrbojangles Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 Arsene Wenger says playing Manchester City will test Arsenal's title credentials Arsene Wenger believes a trip to reigning champions Manchester City will provide an early indication of Arsenal's chances of challenging for the Premier League title. Arsenal have enjoyed a positive start to this season, in sharp contrast to 12 months ago, and have followed up opening 0-0 draws with wins over Liverpool and Southampton. Wenger will take his team to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday above City on goal difference before Arsenal face current leaders Chelsea the following weekend. The Gunners boss feels his side have a chance of being in title contention this term and expects to learn more about his players after facing City. mrbojangles Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 Nobody said it would be easy. But the task facing Manchester City in this season's Champions League could hardly be more daunting. The champions of England have been drawn against the champions of Spain (Real Madrid), the champions of the Netherlands (Ajax) and the champions of Germany (Borussia Dortmund). Depending on to whom you listen, this is either a nightmare draw or the stuff of dreams, a "group of death" or the ultimate opportunity for City to finally announce their presence at Europe's top table. "Games like this are why you are in the Champions League," City captain Vincent Kompany said ahead of their trip to Real Madrid on Tuesday. 'It's a great challenge. I think we are the sort of team which gets better as the challenges get even greater. It's perfect for us. "There won't be any moments where we will be surprised. The motivation will be sky-high, the atmosphere great. I couldn't think of a better way to play the Champions League. It's all about how far you can get but it's even nicer when you play against the best teams. "I thought it couldn't get more difficult than last year but there you go." Yes, like the shit he got for saying Arsenal could go through a season unbeaten, blown out of proportion by the red tops as usual. Give it a rest, he's right in what he says, Manchester Dhabi away, followed by Chelsea at home (with CL games sandwiched in between) will certainly be a good test of Arsenal's credentials. Even as a Gooner I can't say we can win both of those, but winning either of them would be OK with me, and we got 7 of the 12 points on offer in the four games against those two last season with a much crappier defence.
smokie36 Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Enjoy the match gents....these are the games we all live for! Liddle Citeh....v Madrid....
bkkjames Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Enjoy the match gents....these are the games we all live for! Liddle Citeh....v Madrid.... good game for the neutral or madrd supporter. should have been 3 nil at half. but exciting right to the end none the less. Guess Jack and Mr Bj wont be sending any cheer up cards to CR anytime soon.
smokie36 Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Bit quiet on here. Well....the last 20 mins or so was entertaining!
mrbojangles Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Blimey smokes, give us time to wake up wil ya. Not too gutted if I be honest. Yes, we threw the lead away twice and we had a chance to nick it but Real deserved the win overall. In the first half we gave them much too much respect and we were inviting them onto us. Our defence had a woeful night (even kompany) except for Hart, who I don't think was to blame for any of their goals. You could see how much that win meant to Real with their celebrations, which is a testament as to how much they respect our team. We should sort the back 4 out and we shouldn't have nothing to fear from any of the remaining games.
mrbojangles Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 P.S. that was the Bernabe <deleted>. 5 years ago I wouldn't have dreamed of having a night like that.

Are you for real? 2 of the back 4 who played last night only arrived at City a little over 2 weeks ago. How can we have sorted out the back four when they are still strangers.
MrRed Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Well........Buttner is still a stranger I think Mancini made a mistake ....why drop Lescott..... Nastacic! in a big game??? <deleted> You had three experienced defenders on the bench why play a newbie in a big match? Also Kompany had a stinker as you said and Maicon was run ragged yet again. B Dortmund at home will be a very hard game next with the added pressure.
JacknDanny Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Well........Buttner is still a stranger . Red!!!!! Buttner is still a stranger!!! wink wink!! They were at home to <deleted> Wigan!!! Not away to the 2nd best team in the world!! Sometimes you dont half talk cr@p Re Nastasic.. I thought he was ok. Culpable for the second goal as he didnt close Benzema down, but I thought the movement by Real Madrid last night was exceptional, most defenders would have struggled. I think Mancini has a lot of faith in him, and he is looking to the future!!
