smokie36 Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 We expect more of the same. Happens almost every year. 1
carmine Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 A draw was a fair result but how is it Man United get a game changing penalty awarded again for zero contact and we don't get one given for much more. These decisions going to one team consistently are what makes the difference. You want to ask that to some Tottenham fans! some atrocious decisions against Tottenham whenever they play ManU And they play them next week! Without a doubt. We can expect no 50/50's in our favour next week, plenty of red nose ref bullying from the touchline, a disallowed Spurs goal and a dodgy man Utd penalty. Par for the course really. Oh woops, and gloating afterwards telling us how well they played and how even handed the ref was. 1

Mindyou, i do have a very fair point i think most fans would agree. In recent OT fixtures between us the ref has been the standout and man of the match
bkkjames Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 you better hope your team doesnt concede defeat before kicking the ball like you do Carmine....talk about swallowing the bait whole. just mail us the points and stay home then
carmine Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 you better hope your team doesnt concede defeat before kicking the ball like you do Carmine....talk about swallowing the bait whole. just mail us the points and stay home then i don't think we are allowed to win at OT james. Atleast that seem like the case. All a Utd player has to do is run into the box and fall over. The refs seem to forget the rule book, refs like Mallender for example. Then theres fergusons love child, Webb the biased self adoring <deleted>. I've no illusions. Whatever happens you will be alright on saturday.

Whats wrong, does that hit a raw nerve.

SantiSuk Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 And the Man City connection to all this is ... ?
bkkjames Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 And the Man City connection to all this is ... ? none, so let's talk about Bellotelli aka 'why is everyone always picking on me' and his latest bust up with Mancini...
SantiSuk Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 And the Man City connection to all this is ... ? none, so let's talk about Bellotelli aka 'why is everyone always picking on me' and his latest bust up with Mancini... Looks like he's another George Best who never got as far as world class brilliance before his downward spiral. I feel for Mancini because he's put his faith in a complete bottom and its about to be all too glaringly obvious he's made a titanic mistake. Could be the start of a Mancini in decline thread?! Contrast Bagotelli with a true professional who successfully managed a fame career as well as a football one - Beckham.
Chicog Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 George Best wasn't a mental case, he was just an alcoholic. This guy is several sandwiches short of a picnic.
MrRed Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 And the Man City connection to all this is ... ? They want to be a massive club like UNITED!
SantiSuk Posted September 25, 2012 Posted September 25, 2012 George Best wasn't a mental case, he was just an alcoholic. This guy is several sandwiches short of a picnic. Just an alcoholic? Alcoholism comes from some other weakness, like being unable to cope with pressure and Besty got up to some pretty weird stunts as I recall. I suspect they both suffer from similar afflictions. What ever. Balotelli certainly seems to be a very odd lad.
MrRed Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Strong team you played last night i see............what about your famous youth policy and the youngsters??
JacknDanny Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Strong team you played last night i see............what about your famous youth policy and the youngsters?? Strange selection, I agree. Only 1 recognised full back, and a midfield of Barry,Milner and Kolarov/Rodwell as 'wing backs'. Milner was supposedly injured? Dont see the justification of playing him at all!! The fact Tevez was playing tells me that against Fulham, we will play with Aguero on his own up front. Bottom line is that defensively we are not playing well. We need to bring in a specialist defensive coach (same as Arsenal did with Steve Bould) Every single coach/manager or assistant we have presently, was either a striker or attacking midfielder as players. Not one was a defender. That needs to be sorted ASAP
StevieH Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Just an alcoholic? Alcoholism comes from some other weakness absolutely not true.
mrbojangles Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 Strong team you played last night i see............what about your famous youth policy and the youngsters?? It depends what you mean by strong MrRed. Alot of individual strong playaers but there were 10 changes to the team that started against Arsenal the other day. You can't get any consistency making changes like that. maybe Mancinin was trying something out. Either way, I don't like the way we have started this campaign at all.
MrRed Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 I am seriously not being sarcastic MrBo and JD but surely he has some youngsters that would of needed the experience this game brings and to play the likes of Tevez is really strange. last three games not to clever at all

rixalex Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 You know why? Because Aguero is an honest player and does not dive and always does his best to stay on his feet. Just goes to show that sometimes honesty is NOT the best policy Aguero might be less dishonest than other players, but honest? I doubt any professional player fits that description. A lot of the time it comes down to circumstance. If a player has a clear shot on goal, they might get clipped or touched, but stay on their feet to get their shot away, as they want to be certain of having their name on the score sheet. Carrick was a good example of this the other week when he dribbled round the keeper, the keeper tried to trip him, and had Carrick gone down, it would have not only been a penalty, but a likely sending off for the keeper. He didn't go down because he wanted to score himself. I don't think he didn't go down because he is "honest". I suspect the same is true for Aguero. It was a tougher chance than the one Carrick had, but i reckon he felt pretty confident he would score before he scuffed his shot. Had he had his back to goal, or had he been down by the touchline, like Valencia was, do you seriously think he still would have stayed on his feet? Personally i doubt it.
bkkjames Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 How did you make out in the Carling Cup?

It's called the Capital One Cup and you know very well that we got knocked out by Villa League form and defeat in the Cup...and the CL. 'Arry by Christmas! With our REGULAR team, we have not played well at all. Beaten away by Real Madrid 3-2(2nd best team in the world), drawn at home to Arsenal( form team at the moment) and away to Stoke and Liverpool (places that we havent won for ages, and are always difficult to win at), and beaten QPR and Southampton, which we were expected to do. Results wise its not that bad... certainly not panic stations.
smokie36 Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Only kidding chaps.....for now at least.
