Can anyone help me find a supplier for a starter/control box for a 0,5 (0,37 kw) borehole water pump, please? For example a Franklin model 280 355 0115.

I am based in Ban Sanmeng (between Renu Nakhon and Na Kae).

I spoke today to Mr. Pichai the owner of Ruangsangthai Builders Merchants in Buriram Province. He said the Franklin Electric Submersible Motor Control Model 2803550115 with Automatic Thermal Motor Protection is the best solution for the well water pump the OP listed. Most any independent water pump specialist shop in Isaan can order this fine Franklin Electric submersible motor control that is made in the USA. Mr. Pichai noted that the Franklin submersible motor control model 2803550115 should only be used with the same rating pump. Mr. Pichai of Ruangsangthai has over twenty of this particular Franklin Electric submersible motor controller in stock and sells them everyday for 1990 baht including VAT. It must be available for a similar price in your province from an Isaan water pump shop. If you can not find a water pump dealer who stocks the Franklin Electric starter controller in your area Mr. Pichai said he does accept orders where a customer pays for the product and actual cost of shipping via the Thailand Postal Service in advance payment via a Thailand bank transfer. He said he sends the EMS tracking number or LOGISPOST tracking number to any customer in Thailand that orders items to be delivered a great distance from his builders merchants store in Buriram Province. Franklin Electric sends a technical advisor to Ruangsangthai Builders Merchants in Buriram to show the well pump installation teams and repair staff how to best repair any Franklin Electric products in Buriram.

Many thanks Kamalabob2! I will make contact with Ruangsangthai Builders, as no-one here appears to stock the smaller controllers.

Just to round off this thread... Contacted Ruangsangthai Builders and after confirming bank transfer details etc. the pump controller was boxed and duly dispatched Saturday. Yesterday afternoon our local post lady puttered by with the delivery!

Great result, thanks to everyone who made it happen!!

The commissioning of the water well didn't go quite according to plan, but I'll post another thread "Sand in the hole!".

Just for the record. Pump and control box recently installed on new irrigation well and plumbed in to about half a kilometer of distribution lines. After a false start the well has come in with good, clean production. 36 hours continuous on line to flood a small paddy the day before without problem. Now to appraise another well on an adjacent property we just bought, only 1.5 inch at first sight (have to dig out a very neglected pump house...), but reported producing for years without problem. That should give 3 wells tied in to the network, and ability to rotate supply and let the aquifers 'recuperate' as they are each 150-200 meters apart, or use combined flow to flood a big paddy for crop setting, etc. Looking good so far...
