PHUKET: Phuket International Airport announced yesterday (Nov 8) that part of the main open-air car park has been cordoned off to install facilities for the Asian Beach Games.

Large vehicles are instead being directed to the airport's 'international' parking area.
The arrangement will be in place until after the games have finished on November 23.

Really - where is this 'international' parking area ? If they cordon off part of the car park then there will nowhere to park for the average traveller wanting to park the car for a few days.

Hmm, Nai Yang beach? Sarasin Bridge???

Phuket government must be desperate for lost tourist money! Takes on any kind of arrangement from eating fried vegetables (twice) to sports arrangements and nothing of the infrastructure or sports facilities are capable or of a necessary standard to handle the load with people, traffic and athletes and the island people live soon constantly in a traffic jam!facepalm.gifsad.png

There is nowhere to park now, when are they going to open the new car park?
