Load of gravel

Featured Replies

Seems there are two basic dump truck sizes...one small and one big.

Does anyone have any recent experience at to how much I should expect to pay per dump truck load of gravel delivered.

I assume there is also an additional charge if you want the pile spread out rather than just left in a big pile? Any ideas how all this is priced or should I hire different people to spread it out?

Thanks for guidance.

I think I paid 200B a load for dirt last year. I got a couple loads of gravel but don't recall if they were the same price.

that sure sounds like a deal for dirt....I would guess gravel is considerably more...once I figure it out I'll post the result for anyone interested

Seems I paid around 3,000-3500 baht for 15 tonnes. It was a pretty big truck. 2 loads.

The truck driver only drives and dumps. He won't touch the gravel but you might ask the store if they can bring people to spread it around.

My wife negotiated the fill dirt last year. I believe a big part of the price was how far they had to haul from the source to the destination. The dirt was close by, the gravel had to come farther. Wife says about 3000 for 2-3 loads of the gravel as near as she recalls. Small truck.

So sounds like about 1000-1500 baht per load depending on size/distance....seems a deal to me.

thanks for the replies.

Don't forget if it's for a drive when the lorry starts tipping get it to drive slowly over the area cutting out the need for a lot of spreading.
