BANGKOK: -- A construction worker fell off an under-construction section of elevated track in eastern Bangkok, landed on a passing motorist and died last night.

Natthaporn Klakduangjit, 28, reportedly got into a fist fight with his brother Kiattisak Klakuangjit, 23, before accidentally falling off the track near Soi Sukhumvit 115 in Samut Prakan province.

Both men were workers on the BTS Green Line extension.

Thanet Boonchei, 29, was passing by on his motorcycle when Natthaporn fell from the track.

So, when I came back from work and wanted to make a U-turn near the Bearing BTS station, the roads were all jammed for several minutes. So that explains the yesterday evening's traffic jam at Bearing, doesn't it?

Good that his loving brother fled the scene.....big brother falls and dies...so do a runner!.......Some of 'em are gutless pieces of s!!!

Indeed. All I can surmise from this, what with him running, is that he didn't 'accidentally' fall... brother probably pushed/punched him off!

...before accidentally falling off the track...

How else would one fall? If it was intentional it would be 'jumping'.

Or pushed

Only in Thailand it's normal to fistfight with your brother while you are working

Really? So fistfights at work do not happen in any other country in the world? Really?

Wow, what vile human beings you all are, a person died and all you can do is spew crap out about Darwinism, I am sure all you angels have never been in a fight with a sibling or never been the cause of an accident, a person died here and there family member must be feeling terrible and blaming themselves.

Actually, not after the age of about 6. And then not while working at height on a building site.....

At least the articles along with your remarks help you reassure yourself of some self-esteem.

Well when people ask a really dumb question it does deserve a dumb answer.

Justifiying fighting with your own sibling on a building site in downtown bangkok to a level where your brother falls off the building, becsuse, "you know it happens everywhere", is fairly dumb.

When was the last time u had a fist fight with your brother? On a building site? Causing him to plunge to his death?

The posts that appear to claim that fights with siblings only happen in Thailand are pure drivel. Following up and trying to justify it simply strengthens the argument that posting things with such a narrow point of view is simply an attack on the country and nothing to do with fact.

Fights between siblings do happen elsewhere, and in some cases do result in accidents, and there is nothing special about Thailand that makes it more likely to happen here, nor is there anything special about other countries to prevent such accidents being fatal - get a grip.

My condolences to his family and friends.

Kills his brother and does a runner.

Hard to explain that one to the family.

When I read that article I kept singing "It's Raining Men" in my head. Will I go to hell now?

The point is, that the brother PROBABLY made a runner, because he would end up in custody for a few days......accident or no accident.

In Thailand he'd be guilty until proven not guilty; different from most other countries.

Since the brother would not be able to afford legal-assistance he would stay in prison for quite some time. Of course, making a runner wasn't very smart......they'll catch him sooner or later.

And not to forget thaivisa..where the farang can whinge and complain about the Thais and then end up bickering amongst themselves.

He shouldn't have been able to fall

Exactly, where were the safety harnesses or the safety railing?

Back in the lame countries we moved from, and they can stay there.

I am only guessing of course but if the construction is being undertaken by a Thai company, as opposed to an international outfit, there is probably a lack of safety precautions in place which could have prevented the fall.
