Hello again peoples,

I finally have a way forward! My company has suggested the documents my almost-wife has stating she has sole custody of her child and has authority to take the child out of Thailand should be sufficient, if I can get them stamped by the Saudi Embassy. Does anyone know any fast Thai-English-Arabic translators in the Silom / Sathorn district, and whether I need to get the translation certified at MFA prior to getting it stamped at the Saudi Embassy?

The next hurdle is the actual visa for the missus and her daughter. My company has suggested I use a visa agent, and actually gave me the contact details of the agents they use in their Bangkok office. The agents responded that they only deal with corporate clients, have no experience with Saudi or Middle East embassies and I should try a web search for suitable agents :o

I have to use an agent as my wife is very shy and has very little confidence dealing with bureaucracy, and I am not there to hold her hand through all this. She will also be in her village preparing for the move, not in Bangkok. It will provide a central location for me to send all my Saudi paperwork and to compile her application in Bangkok prior to her coming down for the stamps in her passport.

So, question is does anyone know a good visa agent specializing in Saudi or Middle East countries? I think I will have all documents ready (marriage cert, copy of degree, copy of iqama, Saudi MOFA sponsorship letter, yellow family visa slip etc). We are preferably after one who has country branches in Udon Thani or Khon Kaen so she has a convenient office to lodge her documents and can easily find out what is happening in Bangkok.

Also, can people confirm whether translations of the marriage certificate absolutely must be certified by Thai MFA? I won't be in Bangkok long enough after I get married to get this done, although I may be able to get my folks to drop off the papers as they head to Cambodia... :D

Any help greatly appreciated :D
