PM's Office: 90% of complaints lodged by public successfully addressed

BANGKOK, 30 December 2014 (NNT) – As much as 90% of some 111,000 complaints lodged with the government-run complaint center have been successfully dealt with, according to Prime Minister's Office Minister M.L. Panadda Diskul.

M.L. Panadda said on Monday there had been 111,399 complaints made from May 22 to December 26. 90.20 percent of the complaints have been successfully addressed, and work was in progress for the remaining 9.80 percent. Most of the remaining issues involved lack of land, forest encroachment, debt and social re-organization.

Off all complaints, the most prevalent topics included nighttime entertainment venues that stayed open past the allowed time and those that were located near educational institutes, non-formal loans, narcotics, corrupt state officials, land transport services and public services.

M.L. Panadda expressed satisfaction over the centers' performance. According to him, another complaint channel will be opened next year, through applications on mobile devices. More regional complaint centers will also be set up next year.

Well, it looks like I and many other posters just don't believe this statement. Even when you are REALLY doing a good job it's hard to get those kind of numbers.

So if they are so successful they need to start giving loads and verifiable evidence and/or examples. Come on guys, cough it up...words are easy to say, proving it is a whole other story.

That works out to 461 complaints being solved each day if you were to include weekends and public holidays. Remove those and you would be up around the 530 figure. Pretty good going for a newly created government department.

Having watched every one of Dear Leader's "Restoring Happiness" yaks on the telly every Friday at 8:15, all channels for as long as he wishes, I've reached the point I could write this Friday's for him. He is ever so fond of a number or statistic -- which to DL grants automatic authenticity. 90% of this, etc., so many tonnes of that, etc. One of his best moments was when he urged his fellow Thais who had good health coverage to go to an office that he had tasked to be set up where a Thai with good coverage could donate to a less fortunate Thai. I'd love the exact number of Thais who have gone to that office, if it ever existed. DL loves the word "task".

DL believes what he says which is bad enough, what's worse is that DL is clueless he's the only person in the LOS who does. Are you gonna tell him?

What DL certainly does not know is that he is not the first person in power to urge restoring happiness. "Svegliate la gioia" -- "Re-awaken happiness" was said before -- by none other than Lady MacBeth in Verdi's "MacBeth, Act 2, Sc. 7"

If things are going so well why would there even be111,000 complaints?

The numbers would be ten times this much if people weren't afraid

Look at the complaints SP old son

Off all complaints, the most prevalent topics included nighttime entertainment venues that stayed open past the allowed time and those that were located near educational institutes, non-formal loans, narcotics, corrupt state officials, land transport services and public services.

Would there have been 111,000 when the Thaksinista were in control?

Amazing how the very well informed , but low count posters suddenly appear when there is an opportunity to attack in the manner of a pack of sharks,,

Welcome back FAB4, Moonao, richteacher et al.

I don't see any of the above mentioned members in any of the reply's. Maybe you were referring to another topic?
