I got my Grandstand tickers from 7/11 yesterday but encountered a problem which might affect others. The system at 7/11 only seemed to accept orders from someone with a thai ID number. Luckily my tgf was there and i used her number. Any farang trying to buy on their own might have a problem.

I had the same issue today, but used wife ID also. I tried getting the 25% discount on one ticket with my Honda key, but gave up lol. I have not printed out tickets off website yet, Do you choose specific seats in grandstand? Just need a hotel now, lol.

I got one 25% discount but gave up on the other after waiting for ages. I thought the tickets were for any seat in the Grandstand not a specific area. I was told to pick my tickets up at the site on the day, can you run them off the web?

got the tickets for myself and for my buddies.

I got sidestand and got 50 percent discount for my ticket which cost a mere 250 thb! but per ID, they give only one discount so other 3 day tickets cost 500 thb each.

So, 4 three day tickets at sidestand 1, one ticket with 50 percent discount cost 1750 thb plus 7/11 commission.

Good price IMO to watch a WSBK race, cheap as chips really!

Stupid thing is, they told me that these are just reservation and i need to go back to the same 7/11 after 9th of February to get the real tickets and maybe the seat number!

you buy a ticket once at any other country so why go a second time, i never understand apart from TIT.

Anyway, hotel is ready, tickets are ready! Ready to roll!

hope to catch some of you guys there!

Still no ticket sales available outside of Thailand, unless you know different?

I understand that these tickets on sale now, need to be exchanged for entrance tickets at the track on the day, is this correct?

Sepang, you buy directly over the internet and download/print your ticket. At the track entrance they just scan the bar code on your printed ticket. Simple.

I reserved my tickets using counter service at 7-11, and will be available for pick up Feb 9, not the day of event.

Not sure about purchase outside Thailand, is pain in ass even inside Thailand, lol.

I have sent the Circuit management an email, asking how to purchase tickets if living outside Thailand.

If I get an answer I'll post it on here.

I registered with WSBK and through their ticket link got a response that said they were still working out their deals with venues etc and that if I registered interest I would get an e-mail when tickets went on sale. No e-mail yet. Having said that I also registered with Allticket.COM and am pretty sure I could go ahead and buy online with them now, just waiting for my mates to get back to me about what they want. I suspect the Thai VIP tickets will be scalped as they sold out very quickly. Fortunately we got in early enough to get a hotel in town.

No answer from the circuit but have inquired on the official SBK site - their reply is that they are working on ticket sales over the web.

The tickets will be available to be purchased soon.

Tickets are quite expensive. More than double that of the cost of Sepang tickets last year (which was no where near 50% full).

I looked on the sbk website and it says from £14.50,don't think you can call that expensive really.in fact I would say it's a bargain......?

From January 16th World Superbike Tickets for the meeting at Chang International Circuit go on sale.

Tickets will be available in seven eleven stores nation wide and and from www.allticketthailand.com.

Prices:

VIP - 3000 Baht for 1 day 5000 Baht for 3 days.

Grandstand 1500 Baht for 1 day 2000 Baht for 3 days.

Side Stand 300 Baht for 1 day 500 baht for 3 days.

Answered my question.

I do agree that the tickets are offered lower for the local market, in relation for the international sales.

However, it is a bit steep:-

Grandstand Raceday ticket in Thai = 1500 (if the quoted info is correct).

Official Overseas ticket sales = 2500.

This a lot more than even MotoGP at Sepang ( in all honesty - there is more value for money during the WSBK meeting opposed to that of MotoGP = far more races and WSBK main race x 2 when blink and MotoGP race is done - especially if your hero has fallen in the first race).

Not to worry or moan - I am really happy that a world series motorcycle championship has chosen Thailand (and in particularly Issan) as one of its its new international venues - long may it continue partytime2.gif

Thank you......see you there.

Agree - if you are taking it as UK related prices.

Last time I went to a race in the UK was 2009 MotoGP and it was crap as well as bl00dy freezing - tickets were about 100 pounds.

The non Grandstand tickets are a real bargain. The Grandstand tickets are a bargain if buying inside Thailand and good value if buying international - but the Malaysia round is far less for the Grandstand tickets (if you haven't been to Sepang - do so as it is awesome).,

As I said in a previous post - the ticket price is not an issue (for me at least). The experience on offer for Thai people and racing enthusiasts residing in the country, of witnessing 320+kph world superbikes, is a milestone in international motorcycle sport and I am really grateful for that fact.

I am over the moon that I am going to be a part of the party laugh.png
