Metal detecting in Thailand

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Just seeing if there's any fellow detectorists out there?
I used to do a bit in the UK and finally bought an At Pro over with me here.
Looking for advice and tips from others.
Seen the Thaidetect.... website...so there's a few.

Thanks!

Moved to hobbies.

New blood flows through Thailand's foreigner community and I appreciate your bringing metal detecting up. Again.

I actually have a detector that sits in the corner waiting for some time off...

And not meaning to be negative, there a lot of good threads on the topic. You'll probably get a lot more information with the search function than your own thread.

After posting the same information on a half dozen new threads, it gets kind of monotonous.

Hey Impulse,

I did use the search function before I posted......
Most of the info is 1+ years old.

I made two posts, one in General and one in Hobbies to try to get as much coverage as possible.
Just wanted to get tips and advice on areas that have been searched before.

There is a Thai webpage with some info on, but again is dated as the last post was over 6 months ago.

Hi MD enthusiasts, yep I brought a detector with me from the uk, needs dusting off and putting some batteries in it and finding some fellow buddies to go hunting with.

I live in Chiangmai at the mo, give me a shout if you would like to meet up. I am waiting to receive a Scuba Tector (5/7/2019) today or tomorrow to re-ignite my enthusiasm:-)
