Apple Macbook Osx

Hi, everyone. I have a little difficulty in attaching

photos by my newly purchased Apple computer. After I

transfered photos from my digital camera into iphoto,

I clicked attachment box from my text e-mail but could

not find the file name that I wanted! I know that I

saved them correctly because they are showing in the

iphoto menu while I'm offline.

Is there any difference between Apple and IBM in terms of

sending photos on the internet or did I do something wrong?

Please help me,

You can drag and drop your photos! Open iPhoto and your mail program, select the photos you want to send in iPhoto and drag them then drop them into your e-mail. If you cannot find your files on the drive, open your Mac HD, when that window opens you should see a pictures icon in the bottom left, click there, then the iPhoto Library folder, then the Originals folder to track down your photos!

There's always more than one way to skin a cat- especially when it comes to computers- so I'll make a couple of suggestions.

But first off, it might be wise to consider how large these pics are as a file size before you try to attach and send them by email. Some email programs limit the size of attachments more than others. Will yours be deemed too large by your mail client, or not?

1- Maybe the easiest way to send them [using any mail program] is to first export them out of iPhoto. For a couple of reason- it gives you an easy opportunity to resize them, and it gives you an opportunity to change to another format, and it gives you an opportunity to rename them. To do this, open iPhoto, navigate to the picture, select in the go to File > Export . From there, you could save it to anywhere -though I prefer putting them onto the Desktop or into the Pictures folder. Once that's done go back to your mail program and send.

2- Are you looking in the right place for them? Assuming you do want to send the pic in the size and format it is in natively, you should be looking for your iPhoto pics in Pictures > iPhoto Library > 2006 > Roll 245 [or something to that effect]. That's an example of how OS X nests the folders one inside the other. When I look inside my Finder I also have a path that goes like this Finder >Pictures > iPhoto Library > Originals > 2006 > Roll 245

Hope that helps.

If you use hotmail or yahoo or something like that and not Mail - the standard Apple mail program - than it will not work.

If you click only the icon or use the command from the menu (E-Mail) in iPhoto the photo will only send it to the standard Apple mail program (have a look in preferences...) or Microsoft Entourage, Eudora or America Online. The photo IMHO is not saved in your HD and will maybe after converted and saved in online format from the Apple E-Mail programm.

So you have to export it if you only use iPhoto in an online format. After you've an html file and you can open it and drag and trop the file (photo) in your desktop. Then you can upload it in your hotmail or yahoo for example.

Maybe it gives other ways also. I use only the photoshop.

OOOps, GoodHeard has already written...
