Thai/english/thai Translation Software

Featured Replies

Is anybody using an English/Thai or Thai/English translation software?

GF has a Cyberdict and also access to other dictionaries, but is looking for software that can translate phrases and sentences as well as words, to and from English.

From what I have seen on the internet, there appears to be several promising pieces available, with each claiming to be the best in the universe, though it makes good sense to follow the advice of real life users.

Thanks in advance, and apologies if this is deemed to have been posted in the wrong forum.

Dear Keda,

How are you?

I have a PocketPC (iPaq HW6515) and bundled with it was C&N Discovery software - C & N Solution Co.Ltd. [[email protected]]. This allows for word translation between Thai and English and vice versa.

If nothing else it amuses people and gets their interest when I show them the iPaq, and I am even sometimes understood,

Money-wise perhaps not a good idea to tell the GF.

Hope you are keeping well,

All the Best

Bill:

Thanks. It sounds like a glorified dictionary. She has several already, and would naturally like whatever else is on the market to complete her collection.

She insists there are translation progs available, for accurate translation of phrases and even complete sentences. Sounds a bit futuristic to me, but who knows where technology has gone these past years.

Dear Keda,

You're right, it is a dictionary.

H&H Software [[email protected]] - this was some kind of phrasebook for the Ipaq - I never bothered in the end. It translated some phrases, spoke them but I don't know how gimicky it was.

Hope you are keeping well,
