NLA Member suggests Thai Lottery Tickets be sold in Banks

Featured Replies

Great to have those lovely banks who dont in anyway shaft us already being involved, i am sure they will not make any profit on this........They will probably charge a 1000 baht fee if the ticket was bought in a different province to where it was issued!

Maybe the government-owned banks, which are the ones being suggested, won't make a profit but, then, why should a commercial organisation not make a profit as long as the tickets are sold at the correct price?

Banks are banks, they are not lottery runners. If its a commercial organization which makes a lot of money, why should it be just handed over to a bank? Surely an open bidding to operate should be undertaken?

Which Government owned banks are you referring to?

Whichever ones the OP was referring to, I didn't write the OP.

Why can't anyone here see that the suggestion was made by a NLA member with the intention of getting the lottery tickets to the public at the proper price? Someone please find an objection to that.

Stupid idea, it is not an investment - banks should have no association with lotteries. If they are to be sold by any "institution" it should be 7/11, minimart and grocers...... but never banks.

  • Amazing Thailand

  • A government who can't control the ticket prices in a staterun lottery?? Time to scrap the lottery!! Or the "government"
