Police believe the driver missed the bend in the road when travelling at high speed.

PHUKET: -- A Phuket lawyer was killed in a fatal crash in Satun yesterday (March 26) after crashing her car into an electricity pylon.

At around noon, La Ngoo police in Satun were called to investigate an accident in which a car had crashed into a roadside electricity pylon on La Ngoo-Tungwah Rd in Satun̕s La Ngoo district.

Police and rescue workers arrived to find a wrecked Songkhla registered brown Nissan smashed into an electric pylon at the side of the road. Inside the vehicle police found the body of the driver trapped between her seat and the dashboard.

The victim was later identified by police as a 34-year-old lawyer from Rassada, Phuket.

Police learned that the victim was a lawyer from an identification card they found in the car.

The victim had been driving from down town Satun via La Ngoo-Tungwah Rd heading towards Trang.

The crashed occurred on a a sharp bend, police theorised that the victim came to the bend at high speed and missed the bend, or that she fell asleep at the wheel while driving.

However, police will continue to find information to help them find the real reason for for the crash.

Rescue workers took the body to La Ngoo hospital for autopsy before contacting the victim̕s family.

Wow.....that's some accident.....looking at the picture.

Whatever the reason may she RIP and my condolences to her family.

May she rest in peace.

The crashed occurred on a a sharp bend, police theorized that the victim came to the bend at high speed and missed the bend, or that she fell asleep at the wheel while driving.

It certainly seems to be the case in his tragic accident,

When one views the damage to the car it would certainly seem to indicate a high speed impact, also there appears to be no tyre tracks that show any kind of braking action when one views the image.

I would presume that death was probably instantaneous, which was perhaps a blessing for the driver.

Yep, the roads around there aren't ideal for smartphones........

I was going to ask about airbags, but I don't think airbags would have saved her here. RIP

...awful...

...but is that 'brown'....???

One persons Brown is another persons Silver

RIP

A serious high impact smash!!.......

Another fine example of someone that has no idea of driving..........other than making the vehicle move........

Someones daughter, mother and sister......gone to God for being stupid!!

Break away electric/telephone poles would help. Of course so would proper certification/licensing

of drivers. RIP young lady.

Just a thought , would the outcome be different if it were a European car ,say a Merc or Volvo instead of Nissan ?
