Ketch washed up on Kata Beach

Featured Replies

This washed up ketch causing a lot of interest at Kata Beach. But no-one taking any action to stabilise the boat, did not seem to be any owner in attendance.

First person to take control of it might very well have legal possession.

I thought I saw that boat anchored off Kata Noi when we left Kata Yai Wednesday, before the westerlies arrived. Too bad; hope they can pull her off OK.

I can't tell from the pictures - did she drag anchor or drift in from offshore, anchor stowed? Looks like fenders were put out to launch the tender...

"did not seem to be any owner in attendance" - maybe the owner is in attendance (onboard) - just not alive.
