Songkran on Silom extends to April 15



BANGKOK: -- Sonkgkran water throwing celebration on Silom road will be extended until tomorrow, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) stated Tuesday.

It said earlier the water throwing celebration on Silom was scheduled to end tonight or the last day.

But as hundreds of thousands of people still flocking in to Silom to celebrate the water festival, the BMA executives agreed to extend the celebration for another day or until April 15.

However there will be no stage performance on the extended day but water throwing.

The BMA will begin cleaning Silom or Big Cleaning Day after midnight on April 15 from its earlier scheduled of 9.00 am.
