MH370 search to be extended if plane not found

MALAYSIA: -- Malaysia's Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai announced on Thursday that the search area in the southern Indian Ocean for missing Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flight MH370 will be extended by another 60,000 sq km if the Boeing 777 is not found in the current search area by May, according to The Star Online.

The minister said the expanded search will begin immediately after the first phase is completed.

“If the aircraft is not found in the current area, Malaysia, Australia and China have collectively agreed to extend the search area within the areas with the highest probability of where the plane could be,” Liow was quoted as saying.

He said Malaysia was committed to match any financial need, which would be shared by Australia, when it came time to start the second phase of the search.

MH370 disappeared from radar on March 8 last year while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 227 passengers and 12 crew on board.

The plane is believed to have ended its journey in the southern Indian Ocean.

On Jan 29, the Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) declared the flight’s disappearance an accident.

She isn't there. In all these months not one shred of evidence - no plastic, no nothing has washed up on Sumatra or Java and nothing in WA. I am still surprised that - from my knowledge - no one has officially investigated claims by Maldivian islanders to have seen it flying very low over their island before it disappeared over the horizon.

What about the report on the black boxes of MH17 ?

The Russians are cleared, the plane has been shot by the Ukrainian Air Force. But the Netherland controlled black box investigation team had been told, not to reveal any data, in order to keep the Europeans in the dark. That would be more appropriate, than admitting, that the Ukraine shot the plane down.

I suppose, the secret services of Britain, The US, and may be the Mossad, do not want to reveal the truth. Mr Dugain, a former airline manager, cited witnesses in the Maldives as evidence, who reportedly told him they had seen a “huge plane flying at a really low altitude, bearing the Malaysia Airlines colours". Mr Dugain claimed he had been warned by a British intelligence officer of taking “risks” by looking into the fate of MH370. The definitely off course plane must have been spotted by the American satellite supported surveillance system installed on D.G.. Otherwise the system is worthless.

Wilkepedia says "Preliminary evidence from the ongoing Dutch investigation has concluded that the plane was most likely downed by a Russian unit that was probably manned by a Russian crew .."

Not to mention the radio messages which back it up.

You should stop spending all your time on crackpot conspiracy theory sites.

You are using the murder of hundreds of people for your own propaganda. Have some shame or show us the evidence.

It seems to me it was a mistake by trigger happy grunts with their hands on some very sophisticated equipment.

You are spouting US propaganda, where is the black box evidence? Anyone who saw the footage of the bullet-ridden wreckage could see it was machine gun fire that downed the plane. The results of the German air disaster where back within the week. What are they hiding?

So we probably can't find it - so we'll extend the search area - I hope they eventually find it then the families can laid their loved ones to rest - still a bit crazy in this day and age and all the technology we have - can't be found

I still beleive the MH370 is down in the jungle in northern Malaysia. From the high altitude stall, that is confirmed and recorded, they probably stalled all the way to ground.

There have been no primary radar signals from the powerfull military primary radars in HatYai-Thailand and the powerful Aceh-Lhokseumawe radars with coverage of 445Km, covering all of the the Malyasian Strait and Peneng area.

HatYai radar even followed MH370 from starting in Kuala Lumpur flying north and dissapear or go to low altitude.

These military radars and or Indian radars must have recorded the MH370 if it flew over the Malacca Strait, turned around Aceh and heading south to the Indian Ocean.

The only lead they follow now and is the only reason they are seaching in the Indian Ocean, is a strange Inmar Sat ping history, that can not be 100% confirmed as reliable.

Even in Kota Bharu in northern Malaysia witnesses reported a very low flying plane heading south to inland.

These radars are taping everything, so you can not blame a tired operator to sleep on his post.

So no primary radars in the area have picked up anything and no debries found in the Thailand Gulf means the MH370 must still in the northern Malaysia area.

It seen to me it is like the movie LOST It seen the same way and perhaps if they look at the island or the base called Diego Garcia they will stop the search. Just my own view on the subject.

why should the plane be at Diego Garcia, the americans have stolen it???? tosh and drivel.
