Visiting Trat islands - safe place to leave car on mainland?

Featured Replies

Seen lots of information about visiting koh kood or koh maak but seen nothing about where people SAFELY leave their car on the mainland in Trat or elsewhere for a few days.

Can anybody advise me please?

Where you buy the ticket to go to Koh Mak there is a vehicle storage place behind the shop.I have used it for a week at a time. Very safe.

And reasonable cost. As it is low season and weather is unpredictable see if you can check the boat schedule.

It's going to cost you, but a good hotel with Security or why not the Police Compound? - crossing their palms with Silver!

Beware though if it gets stolen and recovered over the Border, it becomes State Property under Cambodian Law, and not returned to you.

All boat companies for Koh Kood have a ticket office near the pier in Laem Sok where each of them also have parking areas with security for 50 Baht per night.

Thanks for the information. ..much appreciated. Currently at centara trat looking out at the islands which would have been our next stop but bereavement in the wife's family yesterday so we now have to detour our holiday up to khorat for the ceremony tomorrow. Maybe next year we'll get out to koh kut or koh mak.
