HUA HIN:- Most of us think that educating a child means to send the child to schools or other formal institutions. The essence of education is to help discover the uniqueness, the potential in the child and to teach them how to raise and develop it. Hence education should actually start at home. However, it does not mean school is not good for children’s education. So here is a list of schools (with English programs) in Hua Hin where you can send your children to get an education.


The British Educational Children’s Centre (BECC)

The BECC is a nursery, kindergarten and primary school all rolled into one. It’s located near Vic Huan Hin, between Soi 114 and 116. The school adopts the UK National Curriculum, and has fully trained and qualified British teachers teaching English, Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Design and Technology, Physical Education, Art and Music classes. It also offers Thai language classes. The school runs three terms a year and each term costs somewhere between 30,000 – 55,000 baht. Somtawin Witead Suksa Huaymongkhon School

Somtawin School educates children from Kindergarten through to Grade 12. The school is located at 192 Moo 13, Nongplub Road, Hin Lek Fai district (approximately 15km West of Hua Hin) and teaches a UK based curriculum which is within the Thai Ministry of Education’s framework. All the subjects, with the exception of Thai Language, are taught in English by English-sp eaking teachers. The subjects taught include English, Mathematics, IT, History, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The annual (two terms) tuition fee falls between 103,000 – 116,800 baht. Hua Hin Salesian (Vitthayalai) School

This private Catholic school is very popular with Thais and has around 3500 pupils. It’s a kindergarten – secondary school, located at 240 Petchkasem Road (not far from Market Village). Yamsa Ard School

Yamsa Ard School is a private kindergarten and primary school that offers bilingual programs with half of all lessons taught in English including Mathematics, Science and Art subjects. The school also has a campus in other parts of Thailand. The campus in Hua Hin is located at Soi 94, Bongai. HALIO – Hua Hin Alternative Learning International Organization

Halio is a community school run by parents for the benefit of their children. The school provides three educational programs: Early years for children age 3-6, Middle years for children aged 7-12 and Upper years for children aged 12-18. The entire Halio program is permeated with an atmosphere that trains and develops essential human qualities in children such as creative thinking, problem solving, confidence, responsibility, teamwork, communication skills, being curious and proactive. Hua Hin International School

Hua Hin International School is an upcoming independent, privately owned, coeducational school that will initially cater for children from age 2+ to 11 and will draw children from multicultural backgrounds. It’s opening in August 2015, at 565 Moo 7, Hin Lek Fai (approximately 15 minutes from Hua Hin Center). The lessons to be taught will be based on the UK National Curriculum. And they left out Hua Hin High School ... is that because it is a public school, and all those listed above are private institutions?
