Hi all

Planning weekend in phuket. Looking for hotel directly on beach (dont want to cross public road as per patong etc.).

Not fussy where but i would like it to be a nice view type of beach, preferably within reach of dining options. It is a couples weekend so bright lights and big clubs are not a priority.

I will hire a car and i dont drink alcohol so that makes it easier.

About 4 star. Good 3 star or low end 5 star. Lady is thai and i'm a thai speaking expat so a dining options are fully flexible.

Kata Beach Resort, Karon Beach Resort, Marina Resort, Katathani Resort - all on the beach side.

"On the Beach" in Karon is still operational, as far as I know.

Kamala, Quiet now, some nice small waves EMPTY

Novotel & Kamala Beach resort ( Sunprime) right on the beach 2 pools

and there a few small bungalows also right on the beach

Any major Laguna hotel, directly on Bangtao beach. the following have great rates at the moment:

- Dusit Thani (low season rate includes breakfast)

- Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort

- Angsana.

You have a car - there are fantastic restaurants nearby just outside Laguna entrance, for great evenings out.

Sure, don't mind those Chinese tour busses, those aren't tourists ! Also, extremely limited nearby dining there.

Andaman Resort Bangtao, will 2nd Kata Beach Resort, Beyond Resort Karon as thats an easy stroll into Kata and you have access to both Kata and Karon Beaches.
