Hi - I am looking to produce a custom plastic clothing rack in Bangkok and export for sale

Anyone know of any plastics manufacturers that can work with me?

Or resources where I can find them?

May I ask what the dimension of the rack is? or whats the dimension of the biggest individual component. Is it full plastic or will there be other metal components?

My factory could possibly produce it. An estimated mold cost would be anywhere from 100,000 baht and up. What order quantity are you looking at?

Just for your info, on the low end the mold can be around 60-70,000 baht too. Again depending on the size but I would imagine a hangar size would be closer to 100,000 baht. Material would also play a big part in the mold cost. There will always be a mold cost associated if you are looking to get any plastic parts made, and minimums orders for plastic parts usually run in the thousands, some smaller manufacturer may be willing to do it in the hundreds at a higher cost per piece.

100,000 baht seems cheap for a mold the size of a clothes hanger ,

I assume it is not too detailed ,

But with a single shot mold and one of this size part you are not going to get many parts per hour and the cost per part may be higher than you expect,

How many parts were you planning on making ?

Injection moulds are quite expensive as already mentioned on this thread. Maybe you can find an existing product in the market and sell as-is or persuade the factory to cover the cost of a minor change to their existing moulds.

I've worked with Pioneer in the past- one of the largest factories in Thailand making household plastic injection products. Would need sufficient quantity to get them interested, however.
