how is it possible that a farang overstayer can live on the streets , sleep in front of cafes with all his belongings , order food and walk out without paying, physically assault people , FOR 3 WEEKS , 100 meters from the Chalong Police Station and 30 meters from the Police box ....when contacted the police were too busy ( multiple times) the tourist police after multiple calls never even fronted.... this guy has no money , never showers , is an italian we believe.... one of the shop owners on the Pier rd is now having to engage a lawyer, to go to the police to file a complaint to even get them to check his papers .... these business owners live in fear of this guys erratic behavior and of course regular customers are wary of him .... i dont understand how this can happen , i thought you had to a passport , a current visa , money to support yourself etc ...anyone else spotted this guy down the pier rd in Chalong ?

No money in it for the police would be my guess.

I want to poke fun at one line in the OP, but it would probably get deleted, so I won't. Funny all the same though. laugh.png

Complain to the NCPO that the police is not doing their duty. That's what they set up the complaint center for. The Chalong police is already getting some heat from BKK in the Vard case. Don't bother going the governor, protest etc route. Go directly to the army.

I've hardly seen any cops out in the Chalong area for weeks - it is rainy season, though.

But only rainy for the last 2 days.

Recently they have been blocking at the circle one lane direction Rawai at the end of the afternoon, and even on Sunday end of market time, and stopping all motorbike riders without helmet.

ok the chalong cops did a smart thing , this guy disappears during the middle of the day ,so whilst he was away on walkabout ,with no paperwork they gathered up his possessions incl mobile kitchen, multiple suitcases and bags , dive tank and transported them back to the police station , ready for him to pickup on his return ( the locals will tell him who took them dont worry) ..the word is his passport is 2 months out of date as well ... anyway hopefully its the end of the story ...
