For reasons I dont understand the streaming channels thread was deleted and locked..

Streaming isnt a non topic on ThaiVisa is it ?? Why was all that good info considered SPAM ??

=======

Anyway..

Besides StalkerIPTV in Kodi.. There was a Android app posted to the thread.. Does that run the same server setup as the old thread data ??

Looking to assemble some M3U lists or package lists for a box to post to a non techie mate..

The rogue android app was the reason that, and two other threads, were cleaned out and locked.

The topic contents wasn't exactly conforming to forum rules.

Unfortunately, you'll probably have to look elsewhere for M3U lists or discussion of streaming protected media content.

What app was rogue ?? StalkerIPTV ??

I thought the app was clean and a normal IP TV app.. That could access streams that may be illegal or legal..

As for M3U lists.. Are not many of the streams open broadcast online.. Not pirate streams but unprotected by the broadcaster.

Several versions of the initial Android App tested positive for malware and enthusiast websites quickly pulled the links.

Many people posted links to the apk hosted privately, not the website of the author, meaning that apk was unauthenticated (rogue) and of unknown origin.

The 'author' was also selling the app without telling buyers that the service they linked to was a test/preview that will eventually go to an pay scheme with server authentication to block unauthorized apps from accessing the system.

Yes, there are many, many IPTV broadcast systems out there that don't require user authentication.

I'm reading that the Stalker source will go to subscription service from 15-Jul, so the free ride with that service may be over?

Reading it where?

IPTV Talk Forum The End of IPTV Free Trial

Stalker still running on Kodi free after 15-Jul it seems with more channels added. Not sure for how much longer.

Installed Kodi yesterday, notice came up they are not using stalker anymore

You have to install it yourself, like any other addon.

Did you have to use jailbreak and install Cydia?

Jailbreak and Cydia are terms used for apple iOS.

From the Kodi Wiki:
To install Kodi for iOS you must have a jailbroken iDevice running iOS 5.1.1 and higher.
For hardware: iPad (1,2,3,4), iPad Air (1,2), iPad Mini (1,2,3), iPhone (4, 4s, 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6+), iPod touch (4, 5, 6).
Kodi media center can be installed on
Android
Linux
iOS
Mac OSX
Windows
And are supported in one fashion or another on these platforms:
Amazon Fire TV is an Android-based (Fire OS) set-top-box that contains a powerful ARM processor

The Raspberry Pi (and Raspberry Pi 2) is an series of ARM powered, credit card sized single-board computers (developer boards) made in the UK.

All Raspberry Pis supports full 1080p (Full HD) video playback of the most commonly used codecs, support for most if not all Kodi add-ons,

Razor Forge TV is an ARM-processor based Android digital media player running the Android 5.0 "Lollipop" operating system using Google's Android TV platform

WeTek Play (also sold as an WeTek OpenELEC edition) is an ARM-based media player device that can currently run either Kodi on Android or on Linux

Computers and appliance devices with an x86 processor (a "desktop class"/"normal" Intel or AMD x86/x86-64 based CPU) are the usually the most stable option for an Kodi powered HTPC (Home Theater PC) / media center computer. Using standard x86 computer hardware provides a great amount of flexibility and can be made from spare parts, old laptop/desktop computers, or new dedicated hardware

Not sure who "they" is? IPTVStalker still running OK, need to search Google for zip file to self install and Youtube videos on how to configure it with MAC address to get latest working.

From kodi. IPTVStalker is no longer free, however there is a tutorial on how to install it for free with a mac address. Excuse my ignorance, but does this mean it will not work on windows? The cost according to Kodi is about $100 per year

MAC (media access control ) address is on all platforms. Latest Youtube videos (search Kodi iVue and Stalker) explain current situation on how to get it running free - never pay for it!. Kodi forum wouldn't promote it as its not part of their product but a (dodgy) 3rd party addon.

Hi guys, have just installed kodi, twice in fact, once with the vpn enabled to the UK. When I go into add ons and add the tv guide it installs it in Danish. Do I need to install metal kettle and iptv stalker as well. I'm hoping to get UK channels and sports channels? Thanks
