Hi guys. I just moved to Chiang Rai. I was previously in Chiang Mai where I was training Muay Thai at a really good local gym.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of any serious Muay Thai gyms around Chiang Rai. I have checked out some of the smaller ones like Lanna Fight Club and two other small ones. They were fine, but they were a bit small (not many other people training there) and seemed to lack some of the intensity that I am used to during training.

I am looking for something similar to the gym I was training at before, which was geared towards competition. Specifically, I am looking for a gym with a ring in it and multiple Thais training there who I can spar with and get the shit kicked out of me

I know that the Muay Thai scene is a little bit smaller here, but I was told by the Thai guys I trained with in Chiang Mai that Chiang Rai had good Muay Thai, so if any of you know of any gyms that seem pretty legit, please share. Thanks.

Where were you training prior to this?

My staples were Kaewsamrit, Sasiprapa, and Baan (Sangtien Noi)

So far we have a link to Phuket and one to Finland. The Facebook link doesn’t seem to have any information about training locations, just a fighter.

I am still of the opinion that the OP has more of an inside track than the rest of us and should use his training partners, and others in the gyms he frequents, to point the way.

I think Nephilum was probably suggesting himself as a potential training partner?
