Hey guys, im probably not the only one coming back this year. How about some of you tell us how the internet companies are doing this year? Obviously not asking for people who live in the stick, those in populated area please.

When i left there wasnt much fiber, right now there's fttx from 3bb, true docsis and tot fiber

What's the best right now? By best i mean least downtime and best international connection. From what i gather online, true is the only one offering good prices that include phone+tv while the rest are a bit more expensive and offer nothing else on top of it.

I have good experience with 3BB fiber, good after service too. Don't know about phone + Tv. Cheapest price is about 1,284 baht for a 30 Meg package. And it does deliver close to that speed.

Good to know that they are still good, i had the old 3bb "international" plan that gave only 3mbps but delivered internationaly and i was pleased with the service.

Do you have FTTH or FTTN(neighborhood fiber, coper to the house).

I have the same 3BB package than LivinginKata and the same result. Good. I am on FTTH. I was not expected such good result before i subscribed but been surprised. This is Kathu. We are 3 heavy internet users at home, having several computers, smart TV' ect...

We subscribed to 3BB after consultation with other locals.

They all had the el cheapo B590/mth sub.

We have 2 users - 1 tablet one laptop, No downloading of movies etc/

Am I happy?

I am not technically minded but next time I may upgrade speed.

Service by 3BB techs on-site - good

Will I change. In my previous residence, we had TRUE - again -good.

3BB still good. Still have the premiere line with very good service. Last week we had a cable problem and the guys came within 3h after my call.

What are the benefits by upgrading from the B590/mth sub?

2 users - no downloading of movie.

Just basic usage.

We all desire faster, faster? Well, I do

Damn, happy to know the FTTx and FTTH are great.

So no one using IPTV?

Fang37, you don't need to upgrade, you could probably downgrade to a 3g/4g connection on your phones and use it for your computer through tethering

I am using 3bb VDSL 30Mbps. Download speeds are good and you can actually get the full speed. But for the past 3 months I am getting all the time TCP connection resets when opening websites that are not on HTTPS. It is becoming clear to me that 3BB is probably running some invisible HTTP proxy that is overloaded or otherwise unstable. They sent some guys to check it, claimed they found a problem with the cable but cant fix it because they couldn't figure out where the cable is running. Weirdly this only applies to HTTP connections... and it used to be just fine for about a year.

Not sure what to do at this point. Maybe tunnel everything through a VPN.

No, I am only using the basic True Vision (ex UBC) by satelitte.

Actuaĺly, when i moved on FTTx, my intention was to have include True Vision in the package and then stop the satelitte. But i have 3 boxes of True Vision (in 3 rooms) and True told me that with their package (FTTx including IPTV), I will be allow for one box only. Should i wish to keep 3 boxes,it will cost 3 packages. I am not sure if it is correct as he was not clear and not friendly at all. I then moved out and asked 3BB next door about their FTTx package. Before going for 3BB FTTx, I was on basic TOT 10mb. I really feel the difference now using FTTH with 30MB and I am happy with it. But i am not solve my problem with IPTV yet. Maybe you have some suggestions?
