Best currency exchange in pattaya

Featured Replies

Put it that way.

If you sell som tam on the street for 50thb

Then I turn up and sell same thing for 30. And you cant afford to sell for 30. And theres 30 of you.

You would go upset and bother me don't u.

Its one of the reasons we hide rates now.

And as being in that business I know all exchanges in Pattaya.

We are not only ones doing it.

In fact in ciang mai all exchanges do not display any rates

Seriously mate....if you don't display rates and people have to ask, it would feel like you're scamming. You could be profiling the customers and deciding who to give better rates to. It's one of the reasons why I don't buy stuff at markets if prices aren't displayed.

I have no idea about what they're doing in Chiang Mai, but IMO it's not smart business anywhere.

I told you reasons the best I could for hiding rates.

I do that business 3.5 years here, I tried everything, I used to display rates.

Its due to compettition.

Put it that way, me hiding rates = you get more, and im highest around, and no one bothers me.

I just giving u tip here about high rates, I dont force anyone.

For example right now the wholesale GBP price is 54.98, means them exchanges sell it to banks for 54.98 so they display for example 54.96

My rate now is 55.00 which is higher then thier wholesale rate.

hope u get a picture

Sorry if it was earlier in the thread but I am curious how you make money then - especially if the rate moves against you before you actually exchange it? Or why you would have a higher wholesale rate than all the rest?

Hello slapper, I went and observed your 2 CC exchanges in soi7 and 8 today. As you stated no values were displayed in soi 7, however in soi 8 the lady was displaying CND JPY hand written on 2 bits of paper. No other values were up. There are very few Canadians around here, why would display that one? Not all that many Japanese around either. And guess what? You said your GBP is 55 right now. "It's Me" Money Exchange around the corner towards Central on 2nd road was 55.10 to the GBP. This time you weren't the best. What's going on?

Got the highest rate consistently at TT Exchange booths …. bright yellow signage….they are everywhere….if exchanging notes carry photocopy of passport or ID Card/drivers license.

Maybe its just because they are able to buy foreign currency cheaper sometimes , like CND and will offer a better exchange rate for some currencies. Anyway if I have a big amount I will ask CC before any other , but that is because of my knowledge of this thread , If i didnt knew about it , I would probably just pass them on my way to TT or Yenjit.

Am actually starting to wonder if this isn't a wind up. No one in their right mind doesn't display their Rates. Now staff approach people with a "board" ??

Assumption is always the mother of all fuxx ups and assuming people will stop and ask your rates is a big one. They wont simple as, they'll think you're closed

When you will do any business in pattaya then you will get it.

Get some expirience then come back talk to me.

I dont force you to use my business, just pass it keep walking. ..

.

I will keep on walking as will virtually everyone else. The other comments on the thread tell you the same

I had customer change 10 000 GBP in bukhao as it was highest. And then 10min later it went even more up. Made me nice profit.

I don't get your picture at all but it's your business, your call. Most tourists and most of us will walk on by.

How do u know that?

I dont care about the ones who cant be bothered to approach.

I got enough customers who do asks rates.

I only give you out little secret here about rates and u can take some others rates for a reference.

Now you know how its works, is it that much of a hassle to ask ?

And from experience ppl who complain the most they dont change anything just note the rate and go...

Or they ask for impossible rates.

Its not a must u know what i mean.

And please keep in mind its nothing to do with customers but competition.

"how do you know that"?

Logic and commonsense is sufficient here.

I should be asking you the more relevant question: "why do you think people don't walk past, and always ask"?

b cuz they wont change anything anyway? :)

Beefslapper I think you can see from the amount of responses here that the vast majority here will walk on by. Others will be the same. Reasons for non display are simply spurious.

Let me know when you advertise your rates and full locations and will give you a go no problem.

They called immigration and police for example on me 12 man turn up. Unfortunately didnt worked out. But things like that. Now rate is hidden but they still trying. Standing outside taking photos just to see what rates we do.

oh well what I was saying is if you can be bothered to stop by and talk to staff fell free as the rates are highest around most of the time, I know that cuz I get thier rates in messenger groups.

If its too much simply forget about it keep walking...

Ah and can't please everyone. There is always ppl complaining no matter what u do...

You're trolling pure and simple. Waste of time completely. Dont bother retorting about the price of Bananas or something
