AIS prepaid / 1-2-Call, do not display number

Featured Replies

Is there any way to not display my number when I call people? I have a prepaid AIS card (1-2-Call).

The option to not display my number is greyed out in my phone, I believe this is a restriction set by AIS.

My phone can take two SIMs and I'm happy to switch carrier if I need to.

I did a quick search; this question has come up a few times, based on that...

I do not believe there is any option to block CPID here.

As you correctly surmise, the network passes CPID.

You could use a calling card.

NO!

Forbidden by law for all calls in Thailand.

Surprising move.

They know to make money out of it wink.png

AIS yes caller display in phone settings somewhere each phone has differing ways of setting options to show not show callers.

now, if only they would add an option to block those annoying advertisements in thai.

If someone is concerned about the answering party seeing his number. ... it can only mean they have something to hide.

It's similar to government's wanting to monitor mobile numbers and the activities, which I have no problem with because if it prevents some terrorist from killing innocent people then it is worthwhile.

Only people who are opposed to this requirement are people who have something to hide in my opinion.

On AIS there is a way, just call 1175 and its on the automated menus

My phone has an option on it to not send my number. Its an unlocked LG C515, not a smart phone and it can work with 12call or True.

Is there an option to block calls with blocked CPID within AIS?

I don't want to receive such calls as they are people with something to hide or boiler-room types.

I don't even want my phone to ring.

Or use the e-service:

https://aiseservice.ais.co.th/eServiceWeb/

Click "EN" for English.

Req. password and login.

"Your Profile"

"Other Services"

"SMS Preference/Cancellation"

There you can also look for "Subscriptions with fee" that happens to some users.

To switch the language for (remaining) SMS, pop up messages etc. to English, send

*700*5*1#

on the phone.

Wait for confirmation SMS (can take a minute or two).

You can block basically anything thesedays if you can figure out the mechanism

I used to get spam all the time by sms and I called ais and told them I was changing to another service providers because u can't be bothered with this shit

Said pls hold - OK, that's disabled from your account

Is there anything else I can help you with?

There is an easy option to do this. Just call the service centre and either follow the prompts or talk to one of the many English speaking reps thumbsup.gif

Some phones may have this option - Samsung/Android: Call, Settings, Call, Call rejection, Auto reject list (tick "Unknown", and/or build list). Call is rejected but you still get a notification.

I remembered the AIS service but couldn't find it in a search. Interesting to see it is still available.
